Logging
TileDB Cloud logs everything related to tasks and task graphs: the task types, the users that started them, duration, cost, and so on. The REST API service logs this information into a persistent and encrypted MariaDB instance. You can then browse this activity on the TileDB Cloud UI Console or retrieve it programmatically using the TileDB Cloud API.
TileDB Cloud keeps six months of logs, available for instant retrieval. Contact us if you need longer retention or ways to perform offline audits of historical logs for your organization.
If you want to find more details on logging, visit Logging Actions on TileDB Cloud.
Asset activity
You can view the activity on an asset from the Activity tab. This is useful if you want to know whom has been developing on specific assets and to keep an audit trail of changes.
Task Log and Task Graph Log
The Task Log and Task Graph Log screens have a wealth of information about the tasks executed in TileDB. You can use this information to calculate the compute spend for each task and task graph in the system. If a particularly expensive activity happens on a regular basis, these logs will give you insights into the task and who ran it, so you can analyze and tune the task or task graph.
